How to Repair a Bike Tube – Fix an Inner Tube of a Bicycle – Mend / Repair a Flat Tire
Repairing a bike tube is fairly simple, once you have a bicycle repair kit. Merely place a cross on the hole in the tube (using a permanent marker) and clean around the hole with a soft cloth. Use the scouring implement (from your repair kit) to lightly roughen the surface around the hole. Next put a generous amount of glue (from the repair kit) on top of the hole. Peel the foil backing from your patch (from the repair kit) and place on top of the glue. Use a couple of clothes pegs to hold the patch in place. Wait for around 24 hours to ensure the glue is thoroughly dry. Finally remove the clothes pegs and replace the tube in the tyre and inflate.
